In 2007, under the initiative of the Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations (USEA) of Russia, Moscow State Technical University n.a. N.E. Bauman (MSTU) and the Shukhov Tower Foundation the monument to the ingenious Russian engineer Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov will be erected in the Sretensky boulevard in Moscow. The initiative has found support in the Government of Moscow. The Moscow mayor Yuriy Mikhailovich Luzhkov has made a decision to erect the monument to Vladimir Grigorievich Shukhov. The financial support is needed to erect the monument. We will be grateful to everybody who participates in immortalizing the memory of our great compatriot.
